While the developed world is becoming ever more rich, wealth is still not distributed fairly among those who generate it. Poverty, hunger, disease, inequality and a lack of proper education are common issues in third world countries. In order to attempt to help diminish these problems on a global scale, STAR has created a special committee: the Community Development International team (CDIT)

Every year CDIT organizes an international aid project in a developing country. The goal is to set up a sustainable project where students can share their knowledge and skills with the local community.
