Climate change is an urgent challenge that affects long-term corporate profitability, and therefore must be systematically integrated into investment analysis. The pace of climate change is accelerating and will have material effects on equity markets in the short, medium, and long term."

Upcoming January, 54 Master (Msc) Business Administration students, of the RSM Erasmus University will have an interesting and educational challenge in the world's leading high-tech cluster Silicon Valley.

Our central theme; Clean-Tech innovations
The Entrepreneurial Challenge is focused on renewable energy and sustainable development. The industrial revolution dramatically improved the wealth of the world. The second phase of the revolution increased the world's mobility. The downside of these phases is the exhaustion of the Earth's natural assets. Clean-Tech innovation is the third phase in the industrial revolution. Entrepreneurial opportunities will arise with this revolution. Are you ready for the sustainable development wave?
The Entrepreneurial Challenge 2009, organized through the Entrepreneurship faculty, will focus on the following pillars

  • Academic research
  • Hands-on experiences
  • Cultural & social activities
  • Innovation

The purpose of this challenge is: to increase the tie between future Dutch entrepreneurs and businesses in an innovative area like Silicon Valley; we want to get an insight of what is going on in Silicon Valley and present this to Dutch companies. Further we want to experience a different culture, its economic environment, and its effects on entrepreneurship; to give students a hands-on opportunity to learn the entrepreneurial skills needed for innovations in Clean-Tech. Furthermore our purpose is to bring value to our partners by doing research, and developing contacts in Silicon Valley.

Entrepreneurs will be the driving force of the Clean-Tech movement
