Do you want to spend one week in an exciting location around the world? Do you want to meet international students, party together and enjoy unique cultural experiences? Then an International Week has much to offer you and the best part is, the only cost is your ticket.
International Weeks are an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of an international education and an exchange worldwide. More specifically, International Weeks are held in over 20 countries, including Sweden, Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Japan, Vietnam, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Israel, China, Turkey, Czech, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Ukraine, Estonia and Holland.
About 30 students participate in each International Week and participate in a program organized by students of the hosting country.
Usually, participants also stay with host students of the respective university which further helps to get to know student life in the country of your choice. So the Interational Week is an International network of students, who each organize a free week for students from all over the world. When each International Week gives a free week you end up with 20 free weeks! It’s give and take to the benefit of all; that truly is global cooperation!
We, as the committee for the International Week Holland can do two things for you:
1) Invite international students to the Netherlands
The Dutch International Week will takes place from 25.04.2010 to 03.05.2010. One highlight of this week is Queensday, one of the biggest parties in the Netherlands. The program includes a visit to the harbor of Rotterdam, an excursion to the windmills, a guided tour of the famous institutes in The Hague, company visits, and a tour through renowned museums and the Red Light District of Amsterdam. To learn more about the 2010 International Week, especially about the current program, please see “International Week Netherlands”.
2) Send students from Erasmus University to an International Week abroad
As a student from the Erasmus University you have the opportunity to visit an International Week abroad. An International Week is a unique opportunity for students to broaden their horizons, explore a different culture and expand their network. Make friends with participants from other universities, get to know student life in the country of your choice and enjoy social activities. In most cases, you only have to pay your flight ticket and a contribution fee of € 25,-. Food, some drinks, accommodation costs and activity costs are covered by the organizing committee. To learn more about how to go abroad, especially about upcoming International Weeks, deadlines and application processes please see “International Week Abroad”.For more information, we are more than happy to answer your questions.
