Marketing Team
The
mission of the Marketing Team is to give students who are interested in
marketing the opportunity to develop themselves in this area, while being
involved in many different projects at the same time.
General description
Within
an organization as big as STAR, everything is about communication. How do other
people perceive STAR? How does STAR want to be seen by students, stakeholders,
and Erasmus University? This all ties into the
concepts of marketing. Building a stable professional STAR brand is most
important. The members of the Marketing Team are primarily responsible for the
correct functioning of all internal and external marketing expressions, the brand
image, and the services of STAR. Within this team, you will learn about all
facets of managing the marketing infrastructure of a professional organization.
In addition to ‘hard-core' marketing-issues, you will also be challenged to
think about the strategic and organizational impact of marketing-related
decisions.
Role as a committee
Together
with your team and the Commissioner of Marketing on the board, you will be
asked to think about marketing campaigns for STAR. By using programs like Adobe
Illustrator and In Design, you will create the look and feel of posters, banners,
billboards, etc. In addition, you will assist committees in developing their
promotional materials. The main advantage of being a part of this team is that
you will have the chance to improve yourself in the area of marketing while you
are being involved in all of the projects of STAR.
