General Info STAR Management Week

General description

STAR Management Week is one of the largest student events in the Benelux. This weeklong, nationwide showcase event is considered our annual pinnacle as it constitutes a significant interface between students, academia, and our corporate network. This is envisioned in a wide array of activities, such as our internationally renowned Academic Conference, where distinguished academic, business, and political leaders discuss current global issues. Successful entrepreneurs share their experience with young students at our Entrepreneurial Seminar. Academic intellect is nourished through social and practical engagement in and out of the classroom with activities such as a Company Dinner and Management Game, as well as many workshops and master classes. STAR Management Week culminates in one of the largest student festivities in The Netherlands; the STAR Party. Each autumn, more than 100 multinationals, 6,000 students, and illustrious guest speakers from around the globe participate in STAR Management Week.

Role as a committee

As a member of the STAR Management Week Committee you are responsible for the complete organization of this large event. Because the week offers students a broad variety of activities, serving on the committee is also a truly diverse experience. Every member of the committee of course has his/her own tasks, for example, finding companies to participate in workshops, convincing top international leaders to speak at the Academic Conference, or finding spectacular locations for a party or dinner, but working together as a team in the promotional and operational period is also essential for a successful Management Week. Being a member of the STAR Management Week Committee is not only a sensational and unique experience, but also a perfect way to explore your knowledge and improve your skills in commercial relations, networking, marketing, accounting, and project management.
