Combining the best of two worlds

In the academic year 2011-2012, the third cohort of carefully selected and highly motivated students has started their studies of Chinese Economy and Business in the unique academic collaboration programme between RSM and the Department of Chinese Studies at Leiden University. This joint Master’s programme of Chinese Economy and Business (ChEB) allows students to learn about China’s economy, businesses and entrepreneurs as well as to study the history, language and culture of the Middle Kingdom.

The STAR Master Study Club (MSC) Chinese Economy and Business (ChEB) was founded in September 2009 and we, the 3rd MSC ChEB Board, organize a range of social, recruitment and academic activities for and together with our fellow ChEB students. Activities will take place both at RSM and Leiden University, and Sinology students of Leiden will be involved in the events so as to strengthen the mutual exchange between the two institutions’ student bodies. Since all ChEB students will do an internship and their Master thesis in China, the MSC also aims to enrich the programme with feedback, practical insights and by maintaining strong relations with students and faculties in the Netherlands as well as during the internship period in China.
