Academic Departments

The MSC FM has a strong relationship with the Financial Management Department and the Accounting & Control department. Together with the departments we organize various activities like the Kick-offs, the Master orientation days, guest lectures, thesis information session and activities like the Mergers and Acquisitions Day and the Master Accountancy Day. 

Financial Management Department

The Financial Management Department actively contributes to the field with research on initial public offerings, theory and practice of corporate finance, the predictability of stocks returns, the risk and return of real estate investments, and risk management. In recent years, their research has resulted in publications in leading academic journals, such as American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of International Money and Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Financial Management. 

Accounting and Control Department

The Accounting and Control Department actively contributes to the field with research on firm valuation, investor relations, management accounting & control and auditing. In recent years, their research has resulted in publications in leading academic journals, such as Accounting, Organizations & Society, Journal of Accounting & Economics, Abacus and Management Accounting Research.
