The International Week is an exchange project for students from all over the world. Students show foreign students their city, local culture, local business life, party scene and their university. Each year, there are about 23 International Weeks all over the world. The International Week committee organizes the International Week Holland. They are also responsible for recruiting students to participate in International Weeks abroad. 

International Week Holland

The International Holland is already planned and will kick-off at April 24th and end at May 1st. The IW Holland is organized in cooperation with SEFA (study association for economy and business, university of Amsterdam). 

The first four/five days are organized by STAR and will take place in Rotterdam area, where we will show about 35 international students our beautiful city and all it has to offer. The last days we will move to Amsterdam, where our co-host SEFA (study association for economy and business, university of Amsterdam) will arrange the last days in Amsterdam, including our Queensday.

Become a buddy!

Would you like to have an amazing week with students from all over the world, but don't want to go abroad yourself? Become a buddy!

To guarantee an awesome and well organized International Week, every foreign student will get a buddy during their week in The Netherlands. All International Weeks around the world are working with this buddy system, so the visiting students get a real taste of the student life of the hosting city. 

As buddy you provide a place to stay for the visiting international student and you maybe help him/her to get through the first days. You also become a real buddy to this person, someone the student can rely on. But it has no heavy obligations for the buddy. Besides the fact you will make an international friend for life, the other benefits of becoming a buddy is that you are allowed to join several activities during the week and this gives you the chance to make friends with a lot more international students. And you are welcome to join the whole group every evening after diner when we go and explore the Rotterdam nightlife. This will definitely be an experience you'll never forget!
