Commissioner of Events
As Commissioner of Events of the STAR Management Week you will be the minute-to-minute planner of the entire week. At early stages, supporting your team on functional areas is essential. Later on, you will make all arrangements for locations, catering, setting up a crew, and other organizational tasks during the week. The function of Commissioner of Events is all about organizing events at the right place at the right time. Oh, did we tell you that you get to be a professional party planner for the STAR Management Week Party?
Will YOU be the next to:
- Support your team at early stages in their functional areas
- Make a minute-to-minute planning for the entire week
- Keep an overview on the plan of action during the week
- Make arrangements for all facilities, catering and communication systems
- Manage the crew and operations during the week
- Organize one of the greatest student parties

STAR Management Week 2011
A year ago, I started to think about how to spend my upcoming months. Pretty soon I was convinced that the STAR Management Week would fit perfectly to my ambitions. You get the chance to implement new ideas (like the Sports Seminar) and improve old concepts (like the Corporate Cases). The possibility to meet many different people, organize diverse events and make a lot of new friends were my reasons to apply for the STAR Management Week. And it turned out to be a great discussion!
Being a commissioner of Events you constantly get to see many different aspects of the Management Week. As your job will be to arrange all the facilities needed during the week, you have to work intensively together with all of the other committee members. Within your function you have the possibility to improve the event in its appearance. Thereby you are responsible for the entire organization during the week itself. Imagine what should be arranged to make sure the seminars or the recruitment events are well organized. It is your challenge that the schedules are well arranged and that everyone is at the right place at the right time.
And last but not least, imagine what the STAR Party feels like after two weeks of stressful events. It is your job to make it possible that over 2000 people are dancing on the music while you are opening the bottles of champagne. This is such a unique moment, I will never forget!
