Participating in recruitment events and getting in touch with companies can be difficult for international students. Thus, the purpose of the STAR International Career Committee is to bridge the gap between international students and companies interested in non-Dutch students by searching and presenting international job opportunities, internship possibilities, and recruitment events for the international student body.

Roles

Within the team everybody takes a variety of different roles for different projects. Generally, for each project somebody – the commissioner of commercial relations – manages the money and opportunity inflow into the project. Others take the role of the commissioner of marketing and primarily focus on the promotion of the project. Lastly, the program coordinator is responsible for the thorough planning and execution of the project.

Current Projects

Currently, we are setting up a Facebook channel to communicate international career opportunities. At the same time we are gathering information about potential English internship and job opportunities in order to provide input for the channel. This also involves screening job web portals and cooperating with other career services. Simultaneously, we are making efforts to organize a couple of company in-house visits by the end of the year.
