Will you be part of the Commercial Team?

Many projects organized by STAR during the year depend greatly upon the businesses. With their knowledge, financial support and physical products as well as a potential future employer they are of great value to STAR and its (active) members. The contact with these companies and getting them enthused about the projects and events is therefore very important. Within the board one person will be responsible for the acquisition policy, which they put in to practice along with the commercials within every committee. But there is still enough work to do on the commercial matters. This is where the Commercial Team fits in.

Project

With their knowledge and commercial skills, which will be further developed by sales-trainings, the members of the Commercial Team will support several projects of STAR, will assist in the overall process, exploring new acquisition possibilities and possibly get to manage the accounts of some companies. As said earlier, there are several ways of developing yourself in the Commercial Team. You could specialize on a specific sector, or put more focus on one specific project.

As a member of the Commercial Team you are able to develop your commercial and sales skills. You will be provided with training sessions, workshop, and have the opportunity to get in touch with very interesting companies. Next to this, you will get the opportunity to join the Commissioner of Commercial Relations (of the Board) at specific events organized by companies.

Workload:
8 to 24 hours a week, depending on the tasks that need to be fulfilled.

Duration
Until January 2012

Positions

The positions in the team are identical to each other. Each member must:

  • Have a commercial insight;
  • Have strong verbal and communication skills;
  • Be loyal and punctual.

The following is considered as a plus:

Experience in contacting companies (preferably by phone);
