Social Services
The BA and IBA Introduction Days are organized for students who start their first year at the university. Race of the Classics and the Ski Trip are organized for all sportive Business Administration students. IBA Events organizes for example the famous Social Drinks almost every month for all IBA students. The Activity Teams organize STAR parties and other social events (most especially organized for STAR's active members).
Race of the Classics
The Race of the Classics (ROTC) is the largest sailing competition for students in Europe. More than 400 students from 17 universities and colleges participate in this fantastic sailing event, in which you sail from The Netherlands to the United Kingdom. Erasmus University is represented by Team Erasmus, which is organized by STAR.
BA Introduction Days
In a fun and non-mandatory atmosphere, around 150 first-year students meet each other and create social bonds before the year even starts. These days are especially targeted for Business Administration students and takes place every year in August. Introduction Days can be summarized as lots of fun, new friendships, and unforgettable memories!
IBA Introduction Days
These Introduction Days are similar to the BA introduction days but are especially targeted for International Business Administration students. The IBA Introduction Days takes place every year in September. The Introduction Days can be summarized as lots of fun, new friendships, and unforgettable memories!
IBA Events
The IBA Events committee offers events for the IBA population of RSM and giving these students the opportunity to meet their fellow students and bond outside the lectures. IBA Events organizes the famous IBA Social Drinks, IBA Dinner Cycle, IBA Graduation Party and the IBA Cultural Days.
Ski Trip
For a student, participating in winter sports is usually very expensive. That is why, for more than 10 years, STAR has offered students the possibility of joining a low-cost ski trip to a great destination. During this trip you go to a nice resort with around 80 fellow students. Every year, the ski trip takes place in January.
Activity Teams
The Activity Teams consist of enthusiastic first-year students, both BA and IBA. The Activity Teams organize small events during the year like the STAR Opening Party, Active Members Day, Active Members Weekend, Soccer Tournament, Active Members BBQ, and they help out at several other STAR activities.
